  smell可以用作名词
  smell作“嗅觉”解时,表示鼻子闻出或分辨气味的能力,用作不可数名词。
  smell表示“气味”时,既指好的气味,又指难闻的气味,用作不可数名词。
  smell还可表示“闻,嗅”的动作,一般用单数形式。
