Step 1 Warming Up
    Lead-in
(1)the teacher show ss the pictures about volunteers.and ask they:Who are they? What are they doing? 引导学生复现有关志愿者及工作场景的词汇,如:volunteer, serve visitors, help sort the garbage…
What kind people are they? 引导学生们复现有关性格特点和能力特点的词汇主题相关词汇,如:
Personality: patient, kind, active, careful, confident, cooperative …
Skill: be good at dancing/sports/drawing; love art/music; speak English well.
Students say some words related  to volunteer work
2. Think and match.
The teacher show some activities about volunteers,then ss match them.

3. Think and talk.
(1)ss discuss about volunteer activities.

4.Ask some pairs of students to show their dialogues in class.
Step2  Listening
1.Look and guess
Look at the three pictures on Page49 and try to predict the general content of the passage.
2.Listen and choose
Listen to the tape carefully for the first time and try to answer the question :
Where did Lily do some volunteer work?
(A)on the playground
(B)In the library
Check answers together
(C)In the park
3.Listen and tick
Listen to the tape again and pick out the activities that mentioned in the conversation.
    (      ) They kept the traffic in order
    (      ) They planted some trees.

4.Listen and complete.
(1)Ss scan dairies and finish the information of every blanks.

1. Listen, read and underline.
(1)处理教材活动6。教师介绍对话背景,学生听录音、跟读,并用下画线标出询问人物信息的语句。请两位学生进行对话展示。
