Like the cheongsam ,the Tang Suit is another representative of Chinese national costumes.It derived this name not only because its designers got inspirations from the suits of the Tang Dynasty, but also because the Tang Dynasty was a prosperous perid in Chinese history .Clothes that embody a Chinese flavor are therfore collectively referred to as Tang Suits. China's impact on the global fashion industry was demonstrated during the Ninth Asia-pacific Economic Cooperation Summit(APEC) in 2001, when all the members attending the summit wore Tang Suits.
