写关于参观博物馆的英语作文
    Dear Mom and Dad,
Today our class went on a field trip to the Natural History Museum downtown, and it was the best day ever! I have so much to tell you about all the cool things we saw and learned. I'm going to try my best to remember everything.
First, we got on the bus bright and early after morning announcements. Susie and I made sure to sit together so we could share snacks and chat on the ride over. The bus ride felt like forever, but when we finally arrived, the museum was huge! I'd never seen a building that big before, except maybe the stadium where the Thunderbolts play.
Once we went inside, there was a giant dinosaur skeleton in the lobby! Can you believe fossils that old can be put together like a puzzle? Our tour guide Mrs. Jenkins told us it was a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton, one of the biggest and scariest dinosaurs that ever lived. I wouldn't want to meet one of those in a dark alley, that's for sure!

There were videos showing how scientists think they looked and moved based on their skeletons and fossils. My favorite was probably the Triceratops with its big bony head plate - I'd hate to get head-butted by one of those! We also saw a bunch of other cool skeletons and fossil displays.
Next up was the mammal exhibit, all about furry critters like bears, wolves, deer, and more. They had tons of taxidermy animals positioned like they were living their regular lives in nature. I got to see a massive grizzly bear up close - those claws were as big as steak knives! The wolf diorama with the whole pack howling at the moon was super realistic too. I'll definitely be steering clear of Yellowstone after seeing all those.
But my absolute favorite was the ocean life exhibit. It was a giant room with a curved ceiling made of glass, and there was a huge aquarium wrapping all the way around! We got to see sharks, rays, sea turtles, and every kind of cool fish you can imagine swimming right over our heads. The best part was the walk-through aquarium tunnel where the fish surrou
nded you on all sides as you walked through. A huge grouper the size of a great dane swam right up and stared me in the face! I've never felt so tiny.
After the sea life room, we visited some other exhibits on things like the ice age, early human civilization, and gems/minerals. The gem room was amazing - those crystals were like nothing I've ever seen before, all shimmering and glittering in the light. There was a whole section on diamonds too that taught us how they're formed deep underground over millions of years from extreme heat and pressure. Who knew jewelry could be so fascinating?
Finally, we got to go to the butterfly garden before leaving. It was like stepping into a rainforest oasis in the middle of the museum! There were hundreds of butterflies of all colors fluttering freely around us. One even landed right on Timmy's nose before taking off again. I felt like a Disney princess with my new butterfly friends.
I bought a little plush T-Rex from the gift shop to remember the trip. I'm going to keep it on my dresser so I can see it every day. This field trip was honestly one of the highlights of
my whole year so far. I can't wait for our next museum adventure - maybe you two could take me back to see the ocean exhibit again this weekend!
    Love you tons,
    Your curious kid
