【英语知识点】race和game的区别
    game意为“游戏”，“比赛”，通常指有一定规则，凡参加者均需遵守，可指连续的游戏或比赛活动中的一局。说球赛时，一般用game。race通常指一种跑的竞赛，可以是人也可以是动物，一般不指短距离赛跑。

    球赛观众都能遵守会场秩序。

    芝加哥公牛队在比赛结束前两分钟扳平了比分。

    据说明天下午有线电视将播放一场足球比赛。
    petition, game, race, match
    (1) petition 意为“比赛”，“竞争”，可指各种形式上的竞赛。
    (2) game意为“游戏”，“比赛”，通常指有一定规则，凡参加者均需遵守，可指连续的游戏或比赛活动中的一局。说球赛时，一般用game，美国人用game，英国人则用match。另外game用作复数时可指大型体育运动会，如：Olympic Games 奥运会，the Asian Games 亚运会。
