SINOHYDRO is a main member enterprise of The Power Construction Corporation of China (POWERCHINA).
SINOHYDRO, as an industry leader in engineering and construction successfully delivered many major projects across the world in all our business segments. On the recent ENR list of the top 250 global and international contractors, SINOHYDRO is ranked 14th and 20rd accordingly. Still, SINOHYDRO is committed to creating values on a long term basis by working with our customers, partners and local communities toward shared goals. Meanwhile, to support the corporate development, we will continue investing in our industrial assets to strengthen and improve our expertise and technology in the growing energy markets.
SINOHYDRO established as a state-owned hydropower project contractor in China during 1950s, till now we have taken up 65% of the market share in China's large and medium-scale hydropower project construction. Nevertheless, with foresight and prudent decisions on strategy making, we keep an open mind on business operation: absorbing multiple talents and technologies, SINOHYDRO continues extending the business lines along the industry chain.

Four business lines
SINOHYDRO constructs various kinds of infrastructure including water and hydropower facilities, airports, roads, ports and housing projects. Many large and mega scale infrastructure projects completed by SINOHYDRO are landmarks in the host countries.
Founded in the early 1950s, SINOHYDRO
is originally well known as China's first brand in hydropower construction, responsible for 65% of the large-and medium-scale hydropower stations in the country. However, after 60 years of expansion and development, SINOHYDRO has become a global enterprise, running diversified businesses from water conservancy and hydropower construction to project financing, design, implementation and operation in almost all kinds of infrastructures such as power, transportation, civil work, mining and real estate. In September 2011, SINOHYDRO became one of the member enterprises of POWERCHINA, which is ranked No.354 among the 2013 FT Global 500.
SINOHYDRO has 12 holdings and 20 wholly owned subsidiaries based in
China, 5 regional offices abroad in Asia, Africa, Oceania, South America and Europe to supervise market development of 95 overseas offices in 72 countries. The dynamic system ensures that SINOHYDRO can provide clients with best-quality one-stop service from project consultancy, financing, survey, design and engineering to construction, fabrication, installation and operation.The recent decade has witnessed SINOHYDRO's rapid growth in business revenue, asset volume and asset structure diversification. Employing 130,000 people, the 2012 annual business revenue is USD 20.4 billion, of which 25% is generated overseas. C u r r e n t l y , S I N O H Y D R O  h a s  433 international projects under construction in more than 67 countries, with total
contract value of nearly USD 38.8 billion. On the latest ENR lists of Top 250 global contractors and Top 250 international contractors, SINOHYDRO is ranked No.14 and No.20, respectively.SINOHYDRO has a strong corporate cultural identity based on harmony, cohesion and trust, with particular emphases on the global values of good governance, quality, safety, environment protection and social responsibility. The Yangtze Three Gorges Project  is presently the largest hydropower project in the world with total installed capacity of 14x700MW. It is a key project to harness and develop the Yangtze River. Functions ：flood control, power generation, and shipping transport.
Power Project
Providing Our Customer with Integrated Solutions SINOHYDRO vast experience allows
us to provide the optimal plan for each hydropower project by choosing the best engineering design and most efficient construction method.
SINOHYDRO multi-purpose hydropower projects not only generate electricity, but also provide flood protection, river regulation and diversion, agricultural irrigation, tourism development and sometimes guarantee shipping transport.
SINOHYDRO in the past decade undertook hundreds of large and extra-large hydropower projects around the world with  total installed
capacity over 200,000MW.
Iran Taleghan Water Diversion and Hydropower Project  located on the Taleghan river (one of the major rivers in northwest of Iran), one of SINOHYDRO's most successful overseas EPC project. In 2009, the project was awarded "Lu Ban" prize, which is China's highest honor for construction quality.Functions ：water supply, flood control, irrigation, and power generation.
China Longtan Hydropower Station  on the Hongshui River (a tributary of the Pearl River in Southern China) with a total installed capacity of 9×700MW created two records: the highest roller compacted dam (216.5m high) and the biggest underground power house. Functions ：flood control, power generation, and shipping transport.
