摘要:PURPOSE:To obtain a molten glass molding tool having a long life causing neither reaction nor wear even by bringing the tool into contact with high- temperature molten glass, by coating the surface of a parent material of the tool with a single layer of plural layers of a boride, a carbide, a nitride, a silicide and an oxide. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a parent material of a tool consisting of a high speed steel, Stellite, a super hard alloy, etc., is coated with a single layer or plural layers of a boride, a carbide, a nitride, a silicide and an oxide in 1-10mum thickness. CVD, PVD, flame spraying, etc., are used as the coating method. The prepared film must have HV hardness of 1,000-7,000 and standard formation free energy (at 20 deg.C) of <=-40,000cal/g mol. For example, TiB2 is used as the boride, TiC as the carbide, TiN as the nitride, MoSi2 as the silicide and Al2O3 as the oxide, respectively preferably.
