J1/J2保险指南
一、美国法律要求/ Federal Insurance Requirements
1.Medical benefits of at least $50,000 per accident or illness
2.Deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness
3.Includes a co-payment provision that does not exceed 25% co-pay by the exchange
visitor
4.Repatriation of remains in the amount of $7,500
5.Expenses associated with medical evacuation in the amount of $10,000
6.The insurance corporation underwriting the policy must have one of the following
ratings: an A.M. rating of "A" or above/an Insurance Solvency International, Ltd.
(ISI) rating of "A-i" or above/a Standard & Poor'sClaims paying ability rating of "A"
or above/a Weiss Research, Inc. rating of "B+" or above
7.Covers pre-existing conditions after reasonable waiting period
deductible
8.Does not exclude benefits for perils inherent to the activities of the exchange
visitors program
9.Insurance coverage backed by the full faith and credit of your home country
government meets this requirement.
以上为联邦标准，请注意各学校、地区可能略有差异，UofA标准截止到目前与联邦要求一致，请认真核对学校要求(保险声明一般与DS2019一同收到)。
二、购买推荐

●在美国停留期小于180天，Inbound Guest
●在美国停留期小于2年，Inbound Choice
若有时间，可在SevenCorners Inbound系列界面查看Inbound Brochure/Program Summary，能更进一步掌握保险的细节问题。这方面本人并无任何经验，无法从细节比较保险的优劣、理赔时的情况，请注意本推荐仅提供给一般情况并不需要保险，仅为应付美国法律的同学，而根据自身情况，保险细节对一些同学十分重要。
三、推荐理由
1.对比：
●学校（UofA）推荐的校内健康中心保险$128\month，配偶子女更贵，但可能涵
盖内容丰富，软指标更具优势（对昂贵的费用望而止步，并未查验细节）。
●其他人推荐的Patriot Exchange ProgramSM ，大概$63.37\month，配偶子女费
用大致相当，电联过一个可提供中文服务的代理，最终没有购买。
2.购买实例
●Inbound Guest，本人，理赔期115天，共计$136，后面给出与标准的详细对比。
●Inbound Choice，朋友及女儿，J1+J2，理赔期360天，共计$874。
四、标准说明及对比情况（以Inbound Guest为例）
1.Medical Maximum per Injury/Sickness （每个医疗周期最大理赔额，额度越大越贵）
2. Deductible （免赔额即理赔时自己应先首先承担的部分，可以选$0，$50，$100，根据个人情况，额度越低越贵、但对理赔有利）
3. Co-Payment（理赔范围内、免赔额外，自己需要共同承担的比例，类似的有Co-Insurance，具体起来比较复杂）
4. Repatriation of Mortal Remains $7,500（遗体范送回国理赔的最大额度）
5. Emergency Medical Evacuation $50,000 （紧急医疗后送，因各种原因送回国的最大赔付额）
6. A.M. Best rating （常见的一种保险评级，越高越好）
五、购买说明
了解了以上情况，购买保险就是很简单的事了，按照个人需求选择保险类型及保险期限，自动算出一个价格，填写支付即可。须准备一张Visa或MasterCard等美国认可的银行卡，Debit/Credit Card都行，国内的双币卡也好使。购买完成后几分钟，大致半小时内可收到确认邮件，将其打印出来交给学校即可。纸质的保险单会大概会在两周内邮寄至所填写的美国地址。
