Step1.Warming-up
T: Good morning, everyone. Today before our class, I’d like to invite you to enjoy parts of an interesting movie “Zootopia”. Before that, I’ve a question for you, “What bad habits on the streets can you find in this video?” (学生观看视频,随后让学生回答这个问题)
S1: Somebody parks the car in the wrong place. So the bunny gives her/him a ticket for parking in the wrong place.
S2: Someone is driving too fast. T: Yes or no?
T: Is that good to do that?
Ss: No. It’s not good to do that. It’s so dangerous.
T: In topic3, we’ve talked about traffic signs, traffic rules, traffic safety, warnings and so on. Today let’s play some games to look for the traffic safety in our class.(寻交通小达人). Now you’ve got three challenging tasks, if you succeed in finishing the
tasks, you’ll get a star.(教师出示无的星星奖品) You can put the stars into the box on your desk.(老师提醒同学们每个桌上都有一个透明小盒子) The group which gets the most stars is the winner. All the group members will be the king or queen of the traffic safety and very special gifts will be given to you. Are you ready to take the challenges?

Step2. Task1 Asking ways and giving directions.(问路与指路)
T: First, we shall review the sentence patterns of asking ways and giving directions. T: There are many
stars for you to choose. Five stars mean difficult. Four stars mean a little difficult. One star means easy. Who would like to be the first one to choose? S1: Five stars.
T: OK. Let’s have a look.(回答正确之后老师发奖品)
T: You’ve done a good job. Now let’s play a game.

Step3 Task2 Getting to know the traffic signs(交通标志识多少)
T: Now it’s time for brainstorming. Here is the rule: You’ll see a lot of traffic signs on the screen and please try to remember them as quickly as possible. After that, you’ll match the traffic signs with the En
glish expressions. If you can get the right answer, I’ll give you a star. Clear? Here we go!(学生观看幻灯片,然后举手到讲台上完成标志图与英文配对,配对成功老师发放星星奖品,之后老师教读英文标志,特别是新单词).

T: Boys and girls. These signs can help keep us safe on streets. And don’t forget to use

Step5 Keeping safe and traffic civility(交通文明)
Lead-in: However sometimes people break the rules and many people get hurt. Here are 9 bad driving habits:
1. Running a red light
2. Drunk-driving
3. Overspeeding
4. Optional lane change
5. Injury feigning
6. Using a cellphone when driving
7. Traffic hit-and-run 8. Driving when tired 9. Car modification
T: Can you use imperatives to say the traffic rules?

Stop when you see the red light. Don’t drive after drinking. Don’t drive too fast. Don’t drive when tired.
