Sam Sorts it Out山姆有绝招

Sam and the Waterfall Tree山姆和瀑布树
It was a very, very hot day. Sam and Bella tried sitting in the shade. But they were still hot.
They tried playing in the paddling pool. But they were and cross.
"You need cooling down," said Mum. "I wish I could put you under a waterfall!"

Sam had an idea. He went to his shed.
He took a spanner and a screwdriver out of his tool bag.
He found an old bucket and some rope in his special box of bits.
Then he went out and climbed the apple tree. 
"What are you doing?" said Bella. "I'm making a waterfall," said Sam, "to keep us cool."

 He sat in the tree for a long time, fixing the bucket to a branch.
 Then he called down to Bella. "Pass me the end of the hose," he said.

Sam tied the hose to another branch, so that it would fill the bucket.
Sam 把软管系在另一个树枝，因此它会填满那个桶。
"Stand under the tree," he said to Bella. Then he went and turned on the tap.

At first nothing happened. "It's no good," said Bella. "Wait till the bucket is full," said Sam.

When the bucket was full, it tipped over. "It's just like a real waterfall!" said Bella.

"My turn now," said Sam. He stood under the tree and waited. 
Bella ran into the house.  "Mum!" she shouted. "Come and see what Sam's made."
Mum came out. "What is it Sam?" she said."What are you doing?"
"Go away!" said Sam.  Too late!  "I wasn't expecting rain today!" laughed Mum.
“我并没有期待着今天会下雨！” 妈妈笑着说。
Sam and the Monster Trap山姆和怪兽陷阱
Mum read Sam and Bella a bedtime story. The story was about a monster.
Afterwards，Sam lay awake in the dark for a long time, thinking about monsters.
后来，Sam 在黑夜里醒着不睡好长时间，一直想着怪兽的事情。
Next day, he said," Mum, I need a banana for catching monsters."
"Do monsters like bananas?" asked Mum. "Of course they do." Sam said.
Mum gave him a banana and he took it out to his shed.
In his tool bag, he found a spade and hammer. 
Then he hunted in his special box of bits for sticks and ropes and a net.
然后他去他零碎东西的特殊箱子里搜寻木棍，绳子和网。
Bella knocked on the door. "Play with me, Sam," she said. "No," said Sam. "I'm making a monster trap."

He went out into the garden and started work. First he dug a big, deep hole.

He was working hard when Bella and Mum came down the garden.
"Can't Bella join in your game?" said Mum.
"No, she can't," said Sam. "It's not a game! I'm making a real monster trap."
He worked very hard, all the morning.
At last the trap was finished. It looked just right for catching monsters.
Sam wanted to show it to Bella, but he couldn't find her.
So he went indoors to get Mum. "Come and see my monster trap," he said.
Mum looked out of the window," How does it work?" she asked. "The monster tries to get that banana." Sam said, " and it falls into the trap."
"What banana?" said Mum. Sam looked,"The banana game!" he said,"I've caught a monster!"
Sam and Mum ran down the garden.  Strange monster noises were coming from the hole.
"I told you monsters like bananas!" said sam,"Look!"  Mmm!  Yum! Yum!
