5. Literary forms
The age of Wordsworth – like the age of Shakespeare - was decidedly an age of poetry.    There was also a noteworthy development of the novel which was already beginning to establish itself as the favorite literary form of nineteenth century.
The drama was the only literary form that was not adequately represented.
